Privacy Policy
This page explains what information gtafuel.ca collects and how it is used. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and what we do store is used only to send you the daily gas price notification if you ask for it.
What we collect
The only data this site stores is your push notification subscription — the endpoint URL and encryption keys your browser provides when you tap "Notify me daily." This is stored on our server and used solely to deliver the daily price alert. We do not link it to any personal identity.
What we don't collect
- No account or login
- No cookies
- No tracking pixels or fingerprinting
- No advertising identifiers
- No analytics beyond basic aggregate traffic data provided by Cloudflare (see below)
Third-party services
Cloudflare — This site's traffic passes through Cloudflare's CDN and DNS proxy. Cloudflare may log request metadata including IP addresses in accordance with their own privacy policy.
en-pro.com — Gas price data is fetched server-side from a third-party API. Your browser does not contact this service directly.
CityNews Toronto — Used as a secondary price source when the primary API is delayed; CityNews sources their data from en-pro.com as well. Your browser does not contact CityNews directly.
Data retention
Push subscriptions are stored until you unsubscribe or until your browser invalidates the subscription. Invalid or expired subscriptions are automatically removed the next time a notification is sent.
How to unsubscribe
Tap the bell icon in the app to unsubscribe at any time. You can also revoke notification permission in your browser or device settings — we will stop receiving delivery receipts and automatically clean up your subscription.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated occasionally. The effective date above reflects when it was last changed.
